At around 3:30 in the afternoon of April 12, 2017, operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 12 together with Sultan Kudarat Provincial Public Safety Company (SKPPSC) conducted a buy-bust operation at Purok Islam, Barangay Griño, Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat.
Arrested during the operation were SAHED MANGINDALAT y TAGADAYA Alias NOGNOG, 26 years old, male, single, truck driver, SAMER PAMALOY y KASIM, 20 years old, male, single, farmer, both are residents of the said address. Also arrested were ANTON DAMAO y PAMALOY, 18 years old, male, single, jobless, resident of Brgy. Tugal, Midsayap, North Cotabato and NASRUDIN OMAR y GUIMA, 20 years old, male, single, jobless, resident of Liguasan Marsh, Cotabato City.
The target of the operation, MUBPON MAMALANGCAS Alias BLACKMAN was able to elude arrest after sensing the presence of the operatives. Blackman maintains the drug den where the four suspects were arrested.
Confiscated during the operation were one (1) small and five (5) large sachets of suspected shabu weighing more or less 25 grams with an estimated value of One hundred eighty seven thousand five hundred pesos (Php 187, 500.00), two (2) small empty transparent plastic sachets with suspected shabu residue, one (1) aluminum foil strip with suspected shabu residue, three (3) aluminum foil strips, one (1) improvised lighter, one (1) stainless scissors and one (1) stainless blade.
Mamalangcas will face charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 6 (Maintenance of a Den), Article II of Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 while the four others who are now detained at PDEA RO12 Detention Facility will face charges for violation of Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Section 13 (Possession of Dangerous During Gatherings), Section 14 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia During Gatherings) and Section 15 (Use of Dangerous Drugs).
